Satu Suara dalam Keberagaman Rasa : PKKMB ASMARALOKA FBS 2026

The Faculty of Languages and Arts of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) has successfully completed the entire series of activities for the 2026 Faculty of Languages and Arts UNESA Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), under the theme ASMARALOKA. The program was conducted in a hybrid format by the 2026 PKKMB FBS UNESA Organizing Committee in collaboration with the Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Representative Council (DPM), Student Associations of Study Programs (HMP), and all student organizations within the Faculty of Languages and Arts of UNESA.

The series of activities began on the First Day, which was held virtually through the Zoom Meeting platform and YouTube Streaming, while also being broadcast live from the T14 Auditorium of FBS UNESA. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Syafi'ul Anam, Ph.D., accompanied by the Head of the Organizing Committee, Alya Sabilatun N. On the first day, the new students, addressed as the Garda Asmaraloka 2026, received a series of strategic sessions on campus life. These included a presentation entitled “Becoming a Student of FBS UNESA: From Freshman to Graduation” by the Dean of FBS; character development for outstanding students by Prof. Dr. Anas Ahmadi, M.Pd.; student independence by Didik Nurhadi, Ph.D.; an introduction to international classes and digital literacy by Kanya Catya, S.T., M.A.; and sessions on national insight and financial literacy by Dr. Arif Hidajad, M.Pd. The first day concluded with an introduction to student organizations within FBS, followed by an interactive talk show with PPFBS, BEM, and DPM FBS UNESA.

The Second and Third Days, conducted in a hybrid format, were held in person on the FBS UNESA Lidah Wetan Campus. The activities began with participant coordination and screening of personal belongings at the T1 and T3 Fields conducted by the Security Team, followed by speeches and discipline-building activities led by the Discipline Commission (Komdis). The new students were then directed to their respective classrooms. During the classroom sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the implementation of Pancasila, case-study analysis, the essence of being a university student, the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), the recitation of the Student Oath, and academic regulations, including the calculation of GPA (IPK), semester GPA (IPS), and credit units (SKS). In addition, participants were introduced to student organizational structures, the concept of the separation of powers (Trias Politika), the organizational structure of the university, and appropriate communication etiquette when interacting with lecturers and fellow students.

The highlight of the entire series took place on the Fourth Day (Inauguration) at the T1 Field of FBS UNESA. The event began with the Interrelated Study Program Parade (Campus Tour), escorted by the HMPs and Security Team, followed by an introduction to the study program leaders and student organizational structures presented by the respective HMP Chairs and the BEM Chair. The sense of togetherness among all participants grew stronger through the Asmaraloka 2026 Flashmob, which was followed by a cultural and performing arts showcase presented by delegations from various study-program clusters. The performances included Taiko (Japanese), DanceSign (Visual Communication Design), Indonesian Poetry Musicalization, Mandarin Dance, EDC (English), Tanzen (German), Campursari (Javanese), Performance Art by the Fine Arts program, and Skandal performances by the Performing Arts Education/Music programs.

The entire 2026 PKKMB FBS UNESA series concluded with a special performance by the guest star Dixiland, followed by the official closing conducted by the MCs and the entire organizing committee. Overall, the implementation of the ASMARALOKA PKKMB at the Faculty of Languages and Arts of UNESA ran very well, orderly, safely, and smoothly without any significant obstacles. All targeted academic orientation, ethical development, and introduction to campus life were successfully delivered on schedule, with active participation from all new students.
